How does one defend the indefensible . . . oh, say like warrentless wiretapping?   Attack the messenger and forget the message, that’s how.

John, Obama Sheeple,  doesn’t like my use of the word “faux” when describing President Obama. I used it in yesterday’s post . . . OLBERMANN CRITICIZES FAUX PRESIDENT OBAMA – HELL FREEZES OVER!!!

Guess that’s a bigger issue for him than the fact that the Obama “Justice” Department is intent on taking a position on wiretapping that is more radical than Bush 43’s position! If you liked Bush 43’s position on this, you’ll love Obama’s stance.

I have rules for posting a comments here; rules that include attack the problem/issue being discussed not the writer or administrator of this blog.  Apparently John didn’t read those rules.  I have intentionally left his comment up this morning because nothing could be a clearer demonstration of the Obama lock-step mindset that plagues us.

That’s why it is a topic worthy of a post.  Here’s John’s response to the Obama ‘s decision to break another campaign promise to fight to restore civil liberties and privacy:

“Faux President”? Obama wasn’t elected president by an overwhelming majority of American voters?

Using the word ‘Faux’ (as in ‘Faux News’ to mock Fox News, where you mindlessly picked this up), means that “it is NOT in reality”. Being elected president by the overwhelming majority of American voters makes you the actual president (unlike Bush who lost in 2000, and unlike Hillary who lost in the primaries).

Reality’s apparently something you despise. And your being a sexist twit only makes your situation more pathetic and “faux reality”.

So says, John, Obama Sheeple.  Hmmm, I’m a sexist (that’s a new one… must have gotten tired of using the racist card) living in faux reality where Obama was elected by the “overwhelming” majority of voters.

John, Obama has trashed the Constitution.  He is a faux president until such time as he produced the documents that prove once and for all that he is a natural born citizen,  eligile to hold the office of president, as required by the Constitution.   You remember the Constitution, don’t you?

BTW, you’d make a good storm trooper for Obama Truth Squads.    You remember those, don’t you? Obama used them to defeat Hillary “fair & square” …. not!  Governor Matt Blunt said of Truth Squads:

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system (surprise, surprise, surprise, she said) and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s   thinking than using the power   of  the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights.

John, “snap out it!”

Vetting Experts? Since When?

Is it me? Since when did the talking heads on MSNBC and CNN become vetting experts?

In fact, does anyone remember a time when the media felt so compelled to comment and criticize the vetting process of any political campaign?

Which one of these airheads has worked on a political campaign or served on a committee or group that has actually vetted a nominee? Olbermann? Cafferty? Campbell Brown? Willie Geist? No? How ’bout ole Wolf Blitzer, or Andrea Mitchell? No?

What we are witnessing is the MSM’s “tissy fit” because John McCain led them astray with his foxy choice for VP, Sarah Palin. I mean after all, shouldn’t they have been consulted, OR given a “heads-up”, OR something? OK, all together now, “waaanaa, sob, sob!”

What a bunch of jackasses!

Let me start off by stating that I don’t think Obama is an evil man despite the fact there are some who think he’s the anti-Christ foretold in prophecy.

Upon first hearing Obama’s “message” there’s a lot to admire, unfortunately dig beneath the surface and the real man is a lot less admirable. There’s no doubt he has charisma, is personable, and can read one mean speech. But that alone does not a leader make; and the Obama comparisons to JFK are laughable.

JFK was born into a family that to this day, eats, sleeps, and drinks politics. JFK was already a world traveler as a youngster, his father being the Ambassador to England. After his older brother Joe tragically died, JFK picked up his brother’s mantle and continued to be groomed for the presidency. By the time he was elected president, in addition to having been elected to the U.S. Senate, he had also served in Congress for 14 years. Kennedy was a war hero and Pulitzer Prize winning author. Does this sound anything like Obama? Let me tell you something else, in addition to charm and sense of humor, Kennedy had too much class and sophistication to have ever been caught in such a sophomoric act as “flipping off” a former First Lady, as many videos show he did.

I think the people of this country have been so starved for real leadership and have been so tired of the bickering between the two parties that Obama’s message took off like wild fire and caught on, particularly among the young. Every day I wonder where “all the grown-ups” are because there are damn few of them in politics and in the MSM today. The truth is Barack has given us the right message but, IMHO he’s the wrong man. Expressed in business terms, his concept is great, but the follow through and execution leave a lot to be desired.

I wish his actions lived up to his words . . . they don’t I wish he was the man fancies himself to be . . . he isn’t. The truth is “The Anointed One” is mere mortal with a thin and undistinguished political record, who reads from a teleprompter, and when he speaks extemporaneously, more often than not, gives us the kind of juicy gaffe’s the news media of old would have reported on. When he said he’d been to 57 states, do you think he got it mixed up with the kind of ketchup he prefers?

The “news” media of today gives us idiots like Keith Olbermann (whose rhetoric is so excessive & over the top that he’s become a parody himself and doesn’t know it) and Chris Matthews (who got a tinkle down his leg listening to Barack –oh barf!) both who long ago passed from newsmen into cable clowns. Consequently, Barack is never held accountable for flip flopping /lying about his position on public financing of campaigns, or FISA, or NAFTA, how he would deal with dictators, etc. etc.

No. no. no we’re told he’s recalibrated his position . . . recalibrated my ass. He’s changed his positions on so many issues so often I’m wondering why he isn’t being called “blows with the wind Barack. He’s praised for breaking a promise rendered verbally and in writing. I’ve written about this countless times, Barack’s life is filled with myriad examples of his “situational ethics.”

Here’s a truer picture of man one year later. Barack was a history lecturer (not a professor), whose first election was won because he challenged the number of signatures his female opponent had gathered in order to run, and having had her disqualified, he ran unopposed. Nothing illegal here, but certainly nothing to crow about.

During his time in the Illinois legislature he voted “present” 130 times. I haven’t been able to find another politician with a similar “voting” record, thank God, because I want politicians to vote yea or nay. While there are numerous examples of McCain having crossed the aisle in order to get the country’s business done, (love it or hate it) McCain Feingold is a good example. Is there an Obama (fill in the blank) bill that his campaign can point to with pride? No, of course not, just words.

Think back to December of 2007. McCain almost lost his party’s nomination because of his principled position on immigration and this was position was shared with Teddy Kennedy. (BTW, I was glad the bill was defeated, I thought Kennedy and McCain were both wrong.) If remember correctly McCain held a press conference and told the media that he felt Obama had broken his word on this bill. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong on the bill.

Name a single time when Barack has taken a principled position on a bill and said, “I don’t care what this costs me personally this is the right thing for the country! Answer . . . never!

When all the sexism against Hillary was running rampant he could have said to everyone, “I don’t want to win this way!” He didn’t. When the DNC was taking votes he didn’t need from Hillary to win the nomination he could have said, “No!” to that as well. He didn’t.

It would have been good politics and some of the Hillary supporters (male & female) who resent him so much now might be more forgiving. As it is, for many of us that is never going to happen.

We all knew Olbermann was going to do it.

It wasn’t a question of if, no, no. no! It was a merely question of how absurdly hyercharged and bloviated the Keith Olbermann “Special Comment” (regarding Hillary’s mention of June election timelines, Bill Clinton, and Robert F. Kennedy) was going to be. Knowing Olbermann was going to leap over the top was easy. The fun was to bet on how hysterical, overwrought, and phony his synthetic outrage was going to be on camera.

Has anyone forgotten his “outrage” when it was discovered that someone had breached Obama’s passport records? OMG, he devoted an entire hour to the story the night it happened. When it was reported that Hillary’s records and McCain’s records had also been accessed, the “outrage” ceased. The man is an idiot.

Olbermann has long since stopped being a man principle, a man whose words one could trust, a beacon of enlightened intellect and humor in the usually dull and vapid cable media spectrum. Any pretext of objectively as it relates to Obama has long since dissipated into the night. Olbermann’s nightly pimping and whoring for Obama’s candidacy has reached a point of insufferability.

It didn’t matter that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. issued a statement that he knew Hillary meant no harm. It didn’t matter that the original source of the story issued a statement noting they understood what Hillary was talking about and meant no harm. It didn’t matter that numerous media talking heads had (begrudgingly) admitted that Hillary was clearly distressed her comments might have caused anyone discomfort or pain. It didn’t matter!

True to form he launched into his latest Hillary attack blaming her for every transgression known to man. It would have been funny if it weren’t so sickening and pathetic. Olbermann fumed & fulminated, berating Hillary for:

  • Acknowledging FOX News balanced approach to her campaign calling it “fawning fairness”
  • Mentioning “Boss” Karl Rove
  • The 3 am political commercial which he apparently didn’t like
  • Geraldine Ferraro’s comments about the media’s sexist approach to Hillary’s campaign
  • Saying nice things about John McCain “at the expense of Obama and the Democratic Party” (oh, pa leese, give me a break)
  • Richard Melon Scaife’s endorsement of her candidacy.

On and on and on he droned emphasizing the hideous nature of the word assassination while he used it 13 times during the Special Comment!

Before I wrote this post, I happened across the word tartuffery and immediately thought about Olbermann’s resemblance to Tartuffe, a sleazoid character in the 1664 play by Molière. For those looking for a fuller definition of tartuffery see:

A show or expression of feelings or beliefs one does not actually hold or possess: hypocrisy, pharisaism, phoniness, sanctimoniousness, sanctimony, two-facedness. See HONEST.

That’s a good one for you Keith. See HONEST!

Here’s the Obama/Olbermann Over the Top Question of the Day

We learned late last night that three State Department contract workers breached Barack Obama’s passport files.

MSNBC televised a special hour-long edition of Olbermann’s Countdown at 10 pm, alerting us to the significance of this security breach, hinting at a Clinton campaign conspiracy.

OK boys and girls, here’s the Olbermann/Obama Over the Top question of the day

Please cast your vote for the following question:

Olbermann, unable to stop himself, will again invoke the phrase, “Have you no shame” as he proceeds to compare Obama’s passport peeking with Pearl Harbor and the release of the Pentagon Papers.
